Group Member Managers

Group Member Managers are a concept introduced to allow users to exist who can only edit members of groups of a Portfolio. Their existence is intended for use by "people" who manage people in your FeatureHub installation or Organisation (SaaS), not as parts of the active development process. These can be:

  • Actual people who manually manage portfolio group membership

  • An Admin Service Account, allocate it to a Group which has been tagged as a Group Member Manager account and that Admin Service Account will only be allowed to manage group users in your Portfolio.

Once a user is in a group that has been set as a Group Member Manager group, they cannot participate in any other activity in the Portfolio. Any attempt to add them to a group that has permission to do anything else will fail, and any attempt to add a user who is in a normal group to a Group Member Manager group will also fail.

Create them using a normal Create Group, but then set the Portfolio Role to "Group Member Manager"
